Connecting Consciousness

Global gathering for One Wholesome World

on July 29, 2012

 Twenty four Leaders from fifteen countries collected recently for a global gathering for One WholesomeWorld .They met at the international conference centre of Initiatives of Change in Caux, Switzerland from the 17th to the 23rd of July 2012.

   Set amongst the Swiss Alps, overlooking Lake Geneva, Caux is an ideal location for inspiration.

This founding global gathering for Oneness ,of like-minded leaders from diverse organisations and backgrounds, was aimed at evolving collective wisdom to co-create a new future for humankind….a world that works for all.

All over the world many individuals, groups and organisations are already taking great initiatives to rectify challenging global problems. These are like many beautiful yarns of various hues floating in the wind.Members of the group recognised that the time has now come to gather the immense resources that we have to seed a new future for human kind.We recognised that we can complete each other through a process of giving and receiving ,instead of competing against each other.We saw that  we now need  radically new thinking and approaches in the areas of Education, Economics and Environment. We also need inspired integration across organisational and national boundaries and innovation in all areas. It was clear to all that the needed innovation and integration would be smoothly enabled  only if we transcended all identifications within.

The twenty four who gathered are all Leaders in their own right.They are all currently making a difference on the ground and have their own networks. They brought their wisdom, gifts, stories and vision to this global gathering. What emerged was an intense and transformational recognition of our shared Humanity and Values. Also, a starting sense of how organisations and individuals can collaborate around shared goals and a simple process of gathering in Circles of reflection and action.

How is   this initiative different from other movements?

• It is a movement to co-create Oneness in the World by exploring how to integrate universal values into the fields of Economy, Environment and Education;
• There is   space for appreciative conversations that interconnect  different stories and link  them with the inner dimension; and
• The movement radically expands   our collective capacity for action by connecting individuals, organisations and networks to each other and to our One Source.

What did we achieve?

An amazingly high level of bonding and a commitment to stay in touch. We recognised that lasting authentic friendships and regular contact are the foundation of any worthwhile collaborative effort. We also co-created the following:

• A shared Vision and a generic template for conscious action for seeding One Wholesome World;
• Architecture of a platform for sharing global knowledge and collaboration; and
• A commitment to ourselves, to each other and our world to consciously move towards implementing unity in our common purpose of Oneness. There was a clear recognition for many that if change has to begin, it starts with oneself.  To quote Lao Tzu :

“ If you want to awaken all of humanity, then awaken all of yourself. If you want to eliminate the suffering in the World, then eliminate all that is dark and negative in yourself. Truly, the greatest gift you have to give is that of your own self-transformation”

    I send my salutations and congratulations to all who participated in the wonderful One Wholesome World gathering. May the spirit and strength of your connecting carry over into other segments of our precious little planet, third from the sun, to bring attention to the latent wholeness now being encouraged and inspired to be manifest. Looking forward. With love
